The presidents of PuntoGal Association, Manuel González González, and Proxecta, Ángel Sánchez, signed a collaboration agreement in which Proxecta, Coordinadora Galega de Festivais de Cinema commits to cover the activities developed by PuntoGal to promote the domain trough its communications.

Besides, and thanks to this agreement, the associates could obtain a domain .gal at reduced-price. Signature was made telematically.

PuntoGal and Proxecta

PuntoGal, which is over five thousand and five hundred registered domains, is continuing to promote agreements “that meet non-profit organizations which promote the spread of one of the most popular cultural manifestations and that also has the potential of creating wealth in Galicia, the audiovisual”, stated Darío Janeiro, managing director of PuntoGal.

Quoting Janeiro’s words “the variety and richness of the Galician audiovisual creation cannot be understood without the activator and disseminator role of festivals from which is consolidated as mass events as well as those more specialized and focused on more specific formats. Those are reminders that cinema and other audiovisual formats can have a social and community ingredient, that sometimes online platforms make us forget”.

Meanwhile, Ángel Sánchez wanted to thank PuntoGal collaboration on an action that strengthen synergies of two entities that share objectives as promotion and dissemination of Galician culture in its various forms. Proxecta is a cluster which includes 16 festivals and film exhibitions all over Galicia, and which has the aim to work for the defense and encourage of a sector which nowadays is one of the most fertile and active on the Galician cultural scene, not only by the level and variety of its activities and cultural proposals but also by the volume of activity and territorial attention they develop.

Festivals are, to a large extent, warranties and activators of the Galician audiovisual talent and also important travelling companions for the audiovisual industries on the territory, besides being cultural invigorators of our society.

The agreement between both parties includes the possibility that the associates of Proxecta could buy a .gal domain on a reduced-price of 13€+VAT. They should use discount codes to take advantage of this offer on the registrars which joined the promotion, Dinahosting and Entorno Digital.
